In the late 1970's, Mike Litz, founder of Help-U-Build, began his
career in the building industry as a draftsman.
In the years that followed, Mike gathered the knowledge and experience needed to become one of the most successful
construction estimators in the greater Chicago area.
In 1985, Mike created Michael W. Litz, Inc., a consulting service for construction professionals within the Chicago area. Near the turn of the century, advancements in the computer industry enabled Mike to neatly
package state-of-the-art database systems that organize construction management tasks.
In 2003, Mike launched Data Management Institute (DMI) with a series of seminars at Northern Illinois University's Naperville Campus focused on
improving the techniques and methodology used by construction managers. Construction professionals from many regions of the United States and Canada still travel to Chicago just to attend Mike's seminars.
Today, Mike continues his consulting work with construction professionals; however, he plans to devote an increasing share of his time to Help-U-Build, a new way for Naperville area homeowners to save their time, and facilitate cost-effective home-improvement projects.
